In writing workshop, the children are busy generating seed ideas for a personal narrative story. Some ideas included a sibling story,a tooth story, a favorite object, a special person and a time when they were happy or sad. It is amazing how quiet the room is and how focused the children are during the writing workshop period. Next week. the children will choose one seed idea to take through the entire writing workshop process, including drafting, revising, editing and publishing.
